We believe that the primary focus of therapy for behavioral and mental health issues is to provide a wide range of evidence-based practices while forming an alliance of trust and growth between therapist and client. Every person and every issue cannot be resolved in the exact same way, so finding the mix of therapeutic applications is vital. This can only be done when a patient can feel comfortable and trusting of their therapist. Once this core relationship is established, our goal will be finding solutions that offer relief of symptoms both currently and in the long run for each patient. We also believe that practical approaches can be helpful, and encourage patients to continue practicing mental health strategies outside of the therapy room with "homework" assignments based on evidence-based therapeutic techniques, as well as many arts-based therapeutic techniques.
